Hello my beautiful readers!
I know it has been a while and yes I still have exam week (and have some major studying to do), but I thought it'd be nice to share with you a 'fashion' article I wrote for school. Please do let me know what you think about it, I love reading your comments!
T’is the season to be stylish.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, yes I’m talking about Christmas. Most people think about coats, winter boots, scarves, ear muffs, gloves etc when it comes to Winter Christmas, but not us Caribbean people, no way. It is too hot for all of that warm clothing and layering down here. Some of you may like the fact that we don’t have to buy all of those items mentioned before and some of you, like myself are so eager to have at least one Christmas where one can wear winter clothes, have snow ball fights, and make their own snow man! Unfortunately for all of you in the same boat as I, we’ll just have to keep on anticipating that Christmas. Don’t get me wrong though, Christmas in the Caribbean isn’t boring, there’s family gatherings, Christmas shopping, fake snow, lots of public events, parties, delicious FOOD etc. A lot of people have a hard time knowing what to wear even though their closets are full. I am happy to tell you that it isn’t that complicated. If I must say so myself it is absolutely appropriate if not, an obligation to dress over the top for Christmas/New Years. Think about sequins, glitter, and lots of “bling bling” you know, fancy and definitely sparkly things. If you don’t have any money to get you some fancy stuff, I advise you to completely raid your closet, you may find something you love that you haven’t worn in a long time, or something new, or something old that looks new. A lot of us tend to buy more and more clothes that we actually don’t need, while we have something in our closet just waiting to be worn. By raiding your closet instead of going shopping can and will save you tons of money, I highly recommend this. So go ahead and stuff your face with food, buy a Christmas tree, shower your loved ones with presents, dress over the top, and remember t’is the season to be stylish!
Fellow fashionistas, it is with great sadness I announce that I won't will hardly post anything for the next four weeks. Why?...something called school </3. Exam week is coming up and I have to be in total nerd mode and to be able to do that, I can not get anywhere near a computer or laptop that has internet access. I am going to fully commit myself to studying (or atleast try to). :)
Thank you for reading and understanding my "situation"
Fellow fashionistas, as you know Christmas is right around the corner, and I couldn't be any happier! I don't know about you, but Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday; the food, the presents, the beautiful decorations, and most of all spending it with your family. I was browsing on a random website when I came across these beautiful Miu Miu's! The first thing that came to mind was Christmas, I swear. They're red, shimmery, did I mention dreamy? Believe it or not, everytime I see a shoe I really like, I dream about them! You can get these babies for "only'' $365.00, not bad for a pair of Miu Miu's? You tell me ;)
Hey guys! You're probably wondering why I haven't posted anything in so long and as of today started posting things like crazy. The reason for that is, I kind of forgot I made a blogger and I've been really busy. Today, however I decided to move all my posts from my Tumblr on here. :) Oh also! Eventhough I haven't posted anything for like a month (or so I think) to my surprise I already have one follower! :) Big shout out to Morgan Rose. Make sure to check her blog out http://bathbombsandsequins.blogspot.com/
For the longest while I've been looking for a great maxi skirt, but can't seem to find one! It's either too "grandma looking", or I don't like the color, or it's just out of my price range.
Here are some I go gaga for:
1. Asha striped jersey maxi skirt
2. Miss Selfridge striped maxi skirt
3. Olive maxi skirt
4. "Kendra brown" maxi skirt
5. Tabitha maxi skirt
6. Dorothy Perkins khaki zebra jersey maxi skirt
7. Black maxi skirt with velvet
I first saw this Miu Miu black sequin oversized clutch on Chiara's blog "The Blonde Salad" it was like a dream! I've looked for pictures of it on google, but I decided to use a pic from Chiara's blog because it shows real the beauty of this clutch. I think Miu Miu made a good choice by making an "oversized clutch" because us ladies tend to carry a lot of things; some necessary, some unnecessary with us where ever we go. I use to be a big hater of sequins, but I can definitely say that I now crave for more sequins! Credits go to http://www.theblondesalad.com/for the lovely picture.
I am probably REALLY late when it comes to this shoe Jeffrey Campbell's "Clinic" , please forgive me...I only saw them for the first time last week on a blog by a beautiful lady named Inga called "INTRIGUE ME NOW". These babies are so bad ass and definitely show stoppers. I have been thinking about them everyday ever since I first saw 'em! I really have a shoe problem....
Here are some pics of the beauties
So I FINALLY build up the courage to open my Just Bitten lipstain by Revlon!
I REALLY like this product. It's color as I guessed is plum but somehow looks pure red when I apply it on my lips. I have no problem with that, because as I said before I am a sucker for red lips, but in the meanwhile I'm still looking for a lipstain in plum. This lipstain is like a marker...a first for me! I like the way it feels though, it doesn't make your lips patchy or peel. The balm is very moisturizing it's a pity they only give you a little amount :(. All in all Just Bitten stays on pretty long..IF you don't go eating like a crazy hungry man when I did, the night I wore it.
So I Hope everyone's having a great weekend!
P.S. Please excuse my dead eyes & the lack of make up, I was in quite a rush.
I saw this picture while browsing on Kourtney Kardashian's website; http://officialkourtneyk.celebuzz.com/ and I must say I am really lovin' what Kourtney's wearing. I LOVE how gold looks with red, so chic. gaaaaaa, now I want a gold skirt.
1. Body America Lip butter "Southern Belle" in peach/mango
2. i Envy by Kiss in Juicy Volume 04
3. Revlon | Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm in Frenzy
4. Avon Perfect Wear plump & stay lip color in enduring terracotta
So far I've tried the lip butter, fake eyelashes and Avon's perfect wear.
The lip butter definitely keeps your lips moisturized and tastes sweet. I don't really like it because it makes my lips peel :s but I still use it regardless!
As for the fake eyelashes, I need some MAJOR help with applying it. I've always wanted a pair of fake eye lashes and when I finally got them, I have no idea how to apply them..I think I'll look on youtube for a tutorial.
Avon's perfect wear stays on for atleast a day (if you applied atleast two times). But this one also makes my lips peel as well! I don't know if it's because it's old or because it contains lead. So I've heard, Avon uses lead in their lipglosses and lipsticks. I kind of regret buying it, but I do really love the colour, it's redish and I am a sucker for red lips!
I still haven't got the guts to open my Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm by Revlon. I'm the type of person that buys stuff and leaves it in it's package for quite a while. Why? Because I think it's too pretty! I've watched some review videos on this product and I am sooo glad I bought it! When I first saw the commercial with Jessica Biel, I knew that I HAD TO HAVE IT. Yes I am easily influenced when it comes to buying :P shhhh!
Also! I got this really nice perfume set from my aunt:
It's SWEETDESIRE BY Realities. I haven't heard about this brand before, perhaps it's a cosmetics brand. It smells sweet, as you can tell by it's name. I think I'll leave it in it's box for a while!
So I hope you enjoyed reading, and got inspired to....buy stuff?
Hello girls and boys! I've decided to show you my very small nail polish and perfume/body spray collection. I used to have a lot of nail polish but you know most of them tend to become all icky and thick so I eventually threw them away. And as for perfumes, well I've never really been a perfume girl! All the women in my family are perfume fanatics but I don't really see the big deal. When I get one, I barely use it because it's either too expensive or I think it's not really necessary. I'm more of a body spray kina girl, it's light, smells just as nice as perfume, and you can purchase several of them simultaneously without going "broke".
Left to right:
Maybelline Express finish in WF 233, Maybelline Tenue & Strong Pro in 16, L.A. Colors in Mauve Glaze, Q.P.T in That's Berry Daring, Elf in White, and Best Sence in Gold Glitter.
Left to right:
Victoria's Secret Body Mist in Berry Kiss, Givenchy perfume "Very Irresistible", and Huge Boss for Woman.
Out of all the nail polish, my two faves are Maybelline Tenue & Strong Pro in 16 because it dries quick, and doesn't chip easily, my other fave is Best Sence in Gold Glitter, this one kind of takes long to dry depending on how much you applied. It also doesn't chip easily and as you can see, really stands out!
From my perfume/body spray/mist collection, my two faves would be definitely Victoria's Secret Body Mist and Givenchy's Very Irresistible. I would definitely recommend Victoria's Secret Body Mist! It's light, affordable for sure and the smell stays long! As for Givenchy, the name speaks for itself "very irresistable"...no kidding.
So I hope you enjoyed reading! & all notes are welcome :)
It seems headbands/headwraps are really in right now! From what I've seen in several magazines and fashion blogs. I think they're really cute and fun! They really do fancy up any plain outfit. Below, I've picked out some of my fave headbands/headwraps from Charlotte Russe :)
